What data is collected and why?

At the point of booking a class we need to know who you are and how to contact you should the need arise. We also need to know the age of your children so that we can ensure activities are appropriate. We will hold details of your name, address and contact details as well as your child’s name, date of birth and details of any allergies/medical requirements that we should be aware of for health and safety reasons. We will also keep a record of any classes you have attended with your child.

How long do we keep your data for?

Your data will be retained for the minimum period possible for business reasons and for a maximum period of three years.

Data breaches

We have clear processes and controls put in place to keep your data safe and secure. In the unlikely event of a breach of your personal data, you will be informed at the earliest available opportunity.

Who do we share your data with?

Your data will not be shared with any third parties.

Opting into email communications 

When registering, you will be given the option to opt into our email communications. We would recommend that you do opt in, in order to receive news updates, special offers and important information. However, should you choose not to, all information and offers will be communicated to you in class and via our website and social media platforms. If you would like to be removed from our email communications list at any time please email emma@storyrangers.co.uk (Staffs classes) or lorna@storyrangers.co.uk (Wolverhampton and Telford classes) and you will receive confirmation of when this has been done.

Your Rights 

You have the right to withdraw your consent for holding your data at any point. You also have the right to request a copy of all of the personal data we hold regarding you and your child. Please email emma@storyrangers.co.uk (Staffs) or lorna@storyrangers.co.uk (Wolverhampton and Telford) to do so.
